Tore Ulf Axel Zetterholm (4 October 1915 – 9 November 2001) was a Swedish novelist, translator, playwright and journalist.
Zetterholm was born on 4 October 1915,[1] a son of engineer Axel Emanuel Zetterholm and Agda Elisabeth Blomquist.[2]
He made his literary debut in 1940 with the novelStora Hoparegränd och himmelriket.[1] He made the first Swedish translation ofJ. R. R. Tolkien'sThe Hobbit in 1947.[citation needed] He chaired theWriters' Guild of Sweden from 1957 to 1972.[1] He was awarded theDobloug Prize in 1978.[3]
Zetterholm died on 9 November 2001, at the age of 86.[1]
