Tonino Benacquista (born inChoisy-le-Roi on 1 September 1961) is a French crime fiction author, comics writer, and screenwriter. He wrote the novelMalavita (asBadfellas[1] for the 2010 English translation), which was later adapted into a film byRelativity Media andEuropaCorp titledThe Family, released on 13 September 2013 in North America. The novelMalavita was republished asThe Family for amovie tie-in byPenguin Random House in 2013.[2][3]
