Tone Hødnebø (born 5 November 1962) is a Norwegian poet, translator and magazine editor.
Hødnebø made her literary début in 1989 withLarm. She was a co-editor of the magazineVagant from 1990 to 1997.[1] Literary historianØystein Rottem compared her poetic style in her next collection,Mørkt kvadrat from 1994, with poets such asRolf Jacobsen andSigbjørn Obstfelder.[2] Later collections includePendel (1997),Stormstigen (2002),Nedtegnelser (2007), andNytte og utførte gjerninger (2016). She has also translated poetry byEmily Dickinson andAnne Carson into Norwegian language.[1]
Hødnebø was awardedSult-prisen [no] in 2003, and theDobloug Prize in 2005.[1] She receivedGyldendalprisen [no] in 2018 (for 2017).[3]
Hødnebø was born inOslo in 1962,[1] and is educated asphilologist.[2]
