Thomas Henry Brolly (1 June 1912 – June 1986) was aNorthern Irish internationalfootballer who played as a half-back. He spent the majority of his career atMillwall, making a total of 263 appearances and scoring 11 goals in all competitions. He spent two spells with Millwall, fighting inWorld War II in between.[1] Brolly won theFootball LeagueThird Division South championship with Millwall in1938, and reached theFA Cup semi-final in the same season. .[2] He was capped four times forNorthern Ireland, playing in two games againstWales in 1937 and 1938 and againstEngland and Wales in 1939.[3] Later in his career he was a trainer atCrystal Palace,Chelmsford City, and atIpswich Town withBobby Robson. Brolly was nicknamed "The Professor" while coaching at theRobert Browning Institute inWalworth.[2]
