José Ángel "Tito"García Sanjuán (born 25 February 1974) is a Spanish retiredfutsal andfootball player, and is amanager.
Born inZaragoza,Aragon, Sanjuán finished his formation withReal Zaragoza, and went on to appear for theirB-team before leaving in 1992, aged just 18. He immediately moved tofutsal, starting his career withAD Super Sego FS.
Sanjuán subsequently played forCastilla-La Mancha FS,FS Baix Maestrat,FS Martorell[2] andAD Sala 10[3] before retiring in 2006. He also had spells withTercera División sidesCD Caspe,CA Monzalbarba,CD Ebro andCD Zuera.
Shortly before retiring, Sanjuán started coaching at hometown side CD Oliver's youth setup.[4] In March 2011, after subsequently working atCD Benicarló andCF Borriol in the regional leagues, he joinedVillarreal CF's affiliate clubCD Roda, initially working as a youth coach.[5]
In January 2013, Sanjuán was appointed manager of Villarreal'sC-team inTercera División,[5] but was sacked in October after a poor start of the campaign.[6] He subsequently worked atVinaròs CF[7] andUE Rapitenca before moving abroad to Finland to manage a lower-tier clubLegirus Inter.[8]
On 8 June 2016, Sanjuán was named in charge of fourth division sideSD Formentera.[9] Inhis first season in charge, he achieved promotion toSegunda División B and also reached the round of 32 in theCopa del Rey (knocking outSegunda División sideLorca FC in the process); inhis second, the club reached the round of 16 in the cup (knocking outLa Liga sideAthletic Bilbao at theSan Mamés Stadium), but could not avoid relegation in the league; he resigned on 22 January 2018, shortly after the team's elimination from the national cup.[10]
On 24 January 2018, Sanjuán joinedCD Toledo as an assistant sporting director.[11] On 16 July, he was named manager ofSD Ejea in the third division,[12] but left the club three weeks after his arrival to become one ofJavier Aguirre's assistants in theEgypt national team.[13]
On 14 July 2019, Sanjuán was named in charge of another third division side,San Fernando CD.[14] In October, he stepped down temporarily due to health problems,[15] but was still sacked the following 28 January.[16]
On 5 August 2020, Sanjuán was named manager ofCD El Ejido,newly promoted to the third division.[17]
Sanjuán's older brotherJesús was a footballer. Amidfielder, he notably represented Zaragoza.[18]
