Timiperone, sold under the brand nameTolopelon, is atypical antipsychotic of thebutyrophenone class which is marketed inJapan for the treatment ofschizophrenia.[1][2][3][4] It is similar inchemical structure tobenperidol, but has athioureagroup instead of aurea group. It acts as anantagonist for theD2 and5-HT2A receptors.[4]
