Timothy Ian Atherton (born 7 November 1989) is anAustralian professionalbaseball player for theBrisbane Bandits of theAustralian Baseball League.
Atherton has played four seasons with theCanberra Cavalry, one season for theSydney Blue Sox and the two most recent seasons with theBrisbane Bandits.
He was a part of the Bandits2017-18 and2018-19 championships, becoming the first player to be named twice ABLCS MVP.
He was a member of theAustralia national baseball team in the Australia Series, Australian Challenge,[2]2016 Haarlem Baseball Week,[3]2017 World Baseball Classic, 2018 exhibition series againstJapan,[4] and2019 WBSC Premier12.[5]
