Tilmetamine is adissociativedrug of thearylcyclohexylamine family related totiletamine.[1][2] It is theanalogue of tiletamine in which theN-ethyl group has been replaced with anN-methyl group.[1][2] The drug is said to be 3 to 5 times morepotent thanketamine and to have a longerduration.[1][2] It is reported to produceadverse effects, such asblurred vision.[1][2] Tilmetamine is expected to act as anNMDA receptor antagonist similarly to tiletamine and ketamine.[1][2] It was encountered as a noveldesigner drug online in August 2024.[1][2]
