During the match, Hail submitted Stratton, which thereferee did not see after a distraction byDrew Gulak.[23] This led to asubmission match for the title atNXT The Great American Bash on July 30, where Stratton defeated Hail, afterAndre Chasethrew in the towel when Stratton locked Hail in a submission.[24] On the September 12 episode ofNXT, Stratton lost the title toBecky Lynch, ending her reign at 107 days.[25] She failed to regain the title from Lynch in anExtreme Rules match atNXT No Mercy on September 30.[26] On December 9, she competed in the women'sIron Survivor Challenge atNXT Deadline, which was won byBlair Davenport.[27]

On February 2, Stratton was officially assigned to theSmackDownbrand.[31] Stratton defeatedZelina Vega on the February 16 episode ofSmackDown to qualify for the women'sElimination Chamber match at thetitular event on February 24, where she eliminatedNaomi, before being eliminated byLiv Morgan.[32][33] AtBacklash France on May 4, she failed to win theWWE Women’s Championship from Bayley in a triple threat match, also involving Naomi.[34] Stratton then formed an alliance withQueen of the Ring winner and WWE Women’s ChampionNia Jax.[35][36] On July 6, Stratton won the women’sMoney in the Bank ladder match at thenamesake event.[37] AtSurvivor Series WarGames on November 30, Stratton participated in her firstWarGames match alongside Jax, Morgan,Raquel Rodriguez andCandice LeRae, where they lost to Naomi, Bayley,Bianca Belair,Rhea Ripley andIyo Sky.[38]

She was then attacked byRoyal Rumble winnerCharlotte Flair, who challenged her for the WWE Women's Championship atWrestleMania 41, fully turning Strattonface for the first time in her career.[41][42] On Night 1 of WrestleMania on April 19, Stratton defeated Flair to retain the title.[43] Stratton retained her title against Jax on the May 16 episode ofSmackDown, and in aLast Woman Standing match on the June 27 episode to end their feud.[44][45] After teaming withTrish Stratus at theElimination Chamber event to defeatNia Jax andCandice LeRae, Stratton successfully defended the title against Stratus on July 13 atEvolution.[46] Stratton then successfully defended the title against Queen of the Ring winnerJade Cargill on Night 1 ofSummerSlam on August 2.[47] AtCrown Jewel on October 11, Stratton facedWomen's World ChampionStephanie Vaquer for theWWE Women's Crown Jewel Championship in a losing effort, suffering her first loss in 2025.[48] AtSaturday Night's Main Event on November 1, Stratton lost the title to Cargill, ending her reign at 302 days.[49]

Professional wrestling style and persona

[edit]

Woynilko's finishing maneuver, inspired by her trampoline gymnastics background, is a variation of thetriple jump moonsault using the ropes, called thePrettiest Moonsault Ever.[50] She previously used aspringboard into acorkscrew as a finisher.[12] Upon her wrestling debut, Stratton was given the gimmick of a stereotypical, rich 'daddy's girl'.[8] She citesParis Hilton and the character ofSharpay Evans fromHigh School Musical as inspirations for the gimmick.[3]

Personal life

[edit]

As of 2022, Woynilko is in a relationship with fellow professional wrestlerLudwig Kaiser.[51][52][53]
