Tiffany Mitchell (born September 23, 1994) is an American professionalbasketball player who plays for theSeattle Storm. Mitchell playedcollege basketball for theSouth Carolina Gamecocks, where she was a two-timeSECPlayer of the Year. After concluding her collegiate career, she was selected ninth overall in the2016 WNBA draft by theIndiana Fever. During the WNBA off-seasons, Mitchell has played overseas in Russia, Turkey, Israel and Australia.

College career

Between 2012 and 2016, Mitchell playedcollege basketball for theSouth Carolina Gamecocks. In 2014 and 2015, she was named theSECPlayer of the Year.[1]

Professional career

WNBA

Mitchell was selected ninth overall in the2016 WNBA draft by theIndiana Fever. She scored a game-high 18 points for the Fever in her WNBA debut. She played all 34 games during the2016 season and averaged 8.6 points per game, earning a place in theWNBA All-Rookie Team.[2] In2021, she played her sixth season for the Fever.[3]

On January 31, 2024, Mitchell was traded to theConnecticut Sun alongside the 19th pick in the2024 WNBA draft in exchange forNatisha Hiedeman.

On February 7, 2025, she signed as a free agent with theLas Vegas Aces.[4] She was waived by the Aces on June 30.[5] She was subsequently signed by the Seattle Storm on July 11.[6]

Overseas

In her first WNBA off-season, Mitchell played forNadezhda Orenburg of theRussian Women's Basketball Premier League during the 2016–17 season.[7]

Mitchell's next overseas stint came during the 2018–19 season. She started the season in Turkey withMersin Büyükşehir Belediyespor, later joiningOGM Ormanspor in December 2018. She left OGM Ormanspor in January 2019 and in March 2019 joinedElitzur Ramla fromIsraeli League.[7]Mitchell returned toElitzur Ramla for the 2019–20 and 2020–21 seasons and win championship.[7]

In December 2024 returned toIsraeli League and joined toHapoel Lev Jerusalem for the 2024–25 seasons.

Melbourne Boomers

For the 2021–22 season, Mitchell moved to Australia to play for theMelbourne Boomers of theWomen's National Basketball League (WNBL).[8] The Boomers won the WNBL title in that season, Mitchell scoring 16 points in the deciding game against Perth.[9]

Galatasaray

On 19 July 2023, she signed withGalatasaray of the TurkishWomen's Basketball Super League (TKBL).[10]

On 30 November 2023, Galatasaray and Mitchell announced that they parted ways by mutual agreement.[11]

REG

In November 2023, Mitchell was announced by Rwandan clubREG for theFIBA Africa Women's Basketball League.[12] Mitchell was the top scorer of theleague season, after averaging 23.7 points per game on 45.2% shooting from the field and 40.0% from three-point range.[13]
