Thijme Verheijen (born 13 April 2003) is a Dutch professionalfootballer who plays as amidfielder forEerste Divisie clubMVV.
Verheijen made his senior debut forVVV-Venlo in theEerste Divisie on 13 August 2021, starting in a 2–1 away loss toTOP Oss at theFrans Heesen Stadion.[1]
He scored his first professional goal on 12 August 2022 in a 2–1 away win overDe Graafschap at theDe Vijverberg.[2][3]
His performances at the start of the2022–23 Eerste Divisie season earned him praise, with media describing him as "the revelation of the early season".[4] He was noted for his late attacking runs into the penalty area and strength in individual duels.[5] In 2023, he received theJan Klaassens Award [nl], the club's annual prize for its best youth player.
On 25 June 2025, Verheijen signed a two-year contract with an option for a third season atMVV, continuing in the Eerste Divisie.[6][7]
