Thecodontosauridae is a family ofbasalsauropodomorphdinosaurs[1] that are part of theBagualosauria,[2] known from fossil remains found exclusively in theMagnesian Conglomerate ofBristol,England,[3] which dates back to theRhaetian stage of theLate Triassic (although it could be as old as theNorian stage of the Late Triassic and as young as theHettangian stage of theEarly Jurassic).[3] Two genera are known:Agrosaurus[4] andThecodontosaurus;[5] the former is often considered to be the same animal as the latter.[6]
