The Reform Conservatives (German:Die Reformkonservativen;REKOS) was aconservativepolitical party in Austria.
The party was launched on 23 December 2013 byEwald Stadler, a former member of theNational Council andeuroscepticMEP for theFreedom Party (FPÖ) and theAlliance for the Future (BZÖ). In the run-up of the2014 European Parliament election, REKOS formed a joint list with theChristian Party of Austria (CPÖ).[1]
The Reform Conservatives want to abolish theEuropean Parliament and to reverse the 1992Maastricht Treaty that created theEuropean Union. They plan to cooperate with the right-wing euroscepticEurope of Freedom and Democracy group.[2]
