Colombian television series
The Queen and the Conqueror (Spanish:La reina de Indias y el conquistador), is a Colombianhistorical drama television series created by Johhny Ortiz, and directed by Camilo Villamizar, andJuan Carlos Vásquez.[1] The series revolves around the history that led to the founding of the city ofCartagena de Indias, of major importance in the Americas.[1] The series is recorded in4KUltra-high-definition television.[2] The show is filmed in Colombia, specifically inSierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the banks of theMagdalena River andPalomino,Villa de Leyva, andSanta Fe de Antioquia.[2] It stars Essined Rivera Aponte, andEmmanuel Esparza as the main characters.[3][4]
The series premiered onstreaming on 20 May 2020 onNetflix.[5]
