The Pleased was an Americanpop rock andindie rock[1] band formed inSan Francisco,California in 2002 and active in California until their disbandment in 2006.
The band featured prominent "freak folk" musicians and producersJoanna Newsom andNoah Georgeson. The band self-released two EPs in 2002, the debut EPNever Complete andOne Piece from the Middle,[1][2][3] and in 2003 released their debut album,Don't Make Things,[4] throughLos Angeles-based independent record label Big Wheel Recreation.[2][5][6]
