Production and release

In December 2022,Midge Purce invited eleven other NWSL players[a] to two houses inJupiter, Florida, as a proof of concept for the show. The players lived together for two weeks and trained in preparation for the2023 season. Some footage from the fortnight was posted on social media.[3] The following year,Alexis Ohanian andVanderpump Rules executive producerAlex Baskin joined Purce as executive producers for the project.[4]The Offseason filmed its first season in January 2024 inMiami, Florida, just before the2024 preseason.[5] The series premiered onTwitter on October 18, 2024.[6]
