It has been translated into more than 30 languages and watched by more than 30 million people.[1] A parody ofThe Matrix series byWarner Bros. In a dark satire of the 1999 filmThe Matrix,Leo, a pig on a seeminglybucolicfamily farm, is approached byMoopheus, an anthropomorphic bull. Moopheus shows Leo that the farm he has known is an illusion and that he is really trapped in a horrificfactory farm. Leo and Moopheus then work to break out of the Meatrix and help others do the same, with some help from a third character,Chickity.[3] The animated short aims to encourage consumers to purchase organic food products andfree-range meats.[4]
