The Long Silence (Italian:Il lungo silenzio,German:Zeit des Zorns,French:Le long silence) is a 1993 Italian-German-Frenchpolitical thriller film directed byMargarethe von Trotta.[3] For her performance in this filmCarla Gravina was awarded Best Actress at the 1993Montreal World Film Festival[4] and won theItalian Golden Globe for Best Actress.[5] The film also won the Italian Golden Globes for Best Original Score and for Best Screenplay.[5]
