The Inspector General (Czech:Revizor) is a 1933 Czechhistoricalcomedy film directed byMartin Frič and starringVlasta Burian,Jaroslav Marvan andVáclav Trégl.[1] It is an adaptation of the 1836 playThe Inspector General byNikolai Gogol.[2] The director Martin Frič considered it one of his best movies.[3]
The film's sets were designed by theart directorŠtěpán Kopecký. It was shot in studios inPrague.
