The Hunt for Kimathi is a 1958 book byIan Henderson andPhilip Goodhart about thepursuit and capture ofDedan Kimathi, leader of theMau Mau during theMau Mau Uprising in Kenya.[1][2]

The book was also known asMan Hunt in Kenya.

The book was controversial due to its depiction of Kimathi.[3] TheSydney Morning Herald called it a "remarkable book".[4]

Proposed film adaptation

For a number of years plans were announced to film the book.[5] But no film resulted.
