Expansion: The History of the Galaxy (Russian:"История Галактики",Istoriya Galaktiki) is ascience fiction book series byRussian writerAndrey Livadny with a plot spanning from the23rd to the39th centuries. It embraces several novels, tales, and stories. Some of which are within the five collected stories.

Plotlines prominently featured in the series include: DevastatingInterstellar Wars, Contacts withAlien Races, and The Collapse and Rebirth ofCivilizations. All of these are intertwined to bring thegalaxy to life.

Morality is also central to many of the novels, especially those concerningArtificial Intelligence.
