The Concept is the thirdalbum by the Americanfunk bandSlave, released in 1978.[5] The album reached number eleven onBillboard'sTop Soul Albums chart. It was the band's first album to includeSteve Arrington and Starleana Young on vocals.[4]

The cover artwork was inspired byWilliam Blake'sThe Ancient of Days (1794).
