TheTexas Tennis Open was a professionaltennis tournament for women. After some contradictory statements,[1] theWomen's Tennis Association (WTA) made it a late addition to the2011 WTA Tour. It was played at the Hilton Lakes Tennis & Sports Club[2] inGrapevine (nearDallas),Texas in the United States. It was anInternational level event in August during the same week (the week before theUS Open) as theNew Haven Open at Yale.[3] In 2013, the event was cancelled from the WTA calendar due to economic reasons.[4]
