TheTexas Longhorns men's cross country team represents theUniversity of Texas at Austin inNCAA Division I intercollegiate men's cross country competition. The Longhorns competed in theBig 12 Conference through the 2024 season and moved to theSoutheastern Conference (SEC) on July 1, 2024.
The team was founded in 1920 and has won 33Southwest Conference championships and has placed as high as third in theNCAA Men's Division I Cross Country Championship. The1956 individual championship was won byWalter McNew with a time of 19:55.94.[1]
