TheTeshima Art Museum (豊島美術館,Teshima Bijitsukan) hosts a single piece ofartwork and is located on the island ofTeshima,Kagawa Prefecture,Japan, in theSeto Inland Sea.[1][2] It is operated by theBenesse Foundation. The architect isRyue Nishizawa (co-founder ofSANAA). The museum building is made of a freestanding concrete shell which is 25 cm-thick, 40 by 60 meters, and 4 meters at its highest point.[3]
The artwork is titledMatrix and was created by sculptorRei Naito.
