Synthesis

Terbium monosulfide can be synthesised by heating stoichiometric amounts of pure substances in aninert atmosphere:[3]

Tb + S → TbS

Physical properties

Terbium monosulfide forms crystals ofcubic system,space groupFm3m, isomorphous withNaCl.[4][5]
