Teop is a language of northernBougainville,Papua New Guinea. It falls within theOceanic languages, a subgrouping of theAustronesian language family. According toMalcolm Ross,[2] Teop belongs to theNehan-Bougainville family of languages, part of the Northwest Solomonic group of the Meso-Melanesian cluster within the Oceanic languages. Its closest relative is Saposa.
