Bishop Teodor (hisgiven name was Taras; Teodor is hismonastic name), after graduation of the Pedagogical College inKremenets, joined theStudite Brethren on April 7, 1993; he hadmonastic vows in theUniv Lavra on August 28, 1997, and was ordained ashieromonk on January 20, 2000, after graduation ofCatholic University of Lublin in Poland.

He was superior of St. Michael monastery inLviv (2003–2005) and then continued his studies in thePontifical Oriental Institute in Rome withDoctor of Canon Law degree. During 2010–2015 he served asHegumen ofUniv Holy Dormition Lavra of the Studite Rite.[1] Also since 2011 he has been professor of the Faculty of Eastern Canon Law at thePontifical Oriental Institute.

On March 12, 2015, he was confirmed by thePope asAuxiliary Bishop ofTernopil – Zboriv,Ukraine andTitular Bishop ofMopta. On May 22, 2015, he was consecrated as bishop by Major ArchbishopSviatoslav Shevchuk and other hierarchs of theUkrainian Greek Catholic Church.[2]

On October 17, 2024, he was appointed Archbishop of the same Archeparchy of Ternopil-Zboriv.
