TheTennity Ice Skating Pavilion (The TIP) is an ice arena inSyracuse, New York. Named for donors Marilyn and Bill Tennity, the facility opened in October 2000 for the use ofSyracuse University students.[citation needed] The facility is the home of Syracuse University'sACHA Division I men's hockey team competing in theEastern States Collegiate Hockey League, and newNCAADivision I women's program playing in theCollege Hockey America conference.[1] The Ice Pavilion is also used forintramural hockey andbroomball leagues, as well as Syracuse University physical education classes.[2] The new women's hockey team locker room was designed byQPK Design.[citation needed]
The facility features two ice sheets, a regulationNHL sized surface and a 94–85 ft (29–26 m) oblong studio rink forice skating andfigure skating.
