Tenmusu, also spelled asten-musu,[1] is a dish inJapanese cuisine that consists of a rice ball wrapped withnori that is filled with deep-friedtempura shrimp.[2][3] Tenmusu is sometimes included as a food inbento boxes.[1]

History

Tenmusu originated in theMie prefecture region of Japan.[2] In contemporary times, it is regarded as a specialty dish ofNagoya, located in theChūbu region of Japan, and is a part ofNagoya cuisine.[2][3]
