Should this template link also to6 star rank? This rank is controversial at best and seen by some as purely ceremonial or even purely political, but it's something people will want to know about, and we should make it as easy as possible for them to find this information.Andrewa (talk)20:47, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Generally, we shouldn't, seeing as how the 6-star rank "has never explicitly" been awarded at all. Sure, the ranks "Generalissimo", "Admiral of the Navy", "General of the Armies", and "Dae Wonsu" (Korean) are considered the equivalent of a 6-star rank, but NATO doesn't even have a code for it.CheeseDeluxe (talk)20:01, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, shouldn't the template be calledNATO star officer ranks if it's restricted to NATO designations?Andrewa (talk)13:08, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well,someone done it. I guess now we wait for thefireworks...Andrewa (talk)07:35, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
