So, you are probably wondering what the purpose of this template is. After all, there are already templates likeTemplate:Europe topic that can be used for e.g.Religion in Europe. Well, I am currently working on the articleHistorical persecution by Christians again, and if I can get that one done so far, I would like to continue with the articleReligious persecution. Not that there aren't already enough templates for that one, but I don't think that it is appropriate to address the concerns about religious persecution in a specific country in the general article onreligious persecution. To me this strongly seems likeContent forking. This should be addressed in the specific article on the religion of the relevent country. With this template one can point out where that article can be found. Also for other general articles on religion, likeState religion, this template should be useful.Zara170917:03, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I propose dividing this template on the basis of continent, meaning merge "Middle east" into Asia and Africa. The definition ofMiddle East are not always agreed upon, and there also exists no article "Religion in the Middle East".Bless sins (talk)19:12, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This seems like a distraction when presented vertically next to a country article. Like "you don't really want to be here, you want to be somewhere else!" Should be constructed more like a navigational template, horizontally, and placed at thebottom of country articles IMO.Student7 (talk)00:11, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
