Hello. This template, as it currently stands, is atour de force as regards content, but, for that very reason, seems far too bulky for its purpose. (That some of the links are presented in bold, which I believe is non-standard, is a clue.) Perhaps it might be better as two templates (Arctic exploration, Antarctic exploration) and/or with (most of) the "sublinks" (links in brackets) removed, for example..?
