Would anyone mind if I replace this template with a compressed version. See, for example, the difference betweenTemplate:Places_in_Bedfordshire andthis version. The idea is that on a given athlete's page, the template would show the other members of the relay team with links to a page for a member of the previous and next couple of gold medal teams. For example, fromRay Armstead's page (or any other member of the 1984 gold medal team) the template might look like:

with the reference in the source looking like

{{Footer Olympic Champions 4x400 m Men|1984}}

However, theJohnson page still has him as the winner of 4x400. I assume this is now incorrect. I think he was allowed to keep his medal, which made me think the US was not DQ'ed, but was Johnson allowed to keep the title too? It wpould seem if there is an official DQ then the Johnson article should not have him as the 2000 gold medalist. The template was recently converted to the generic navbox template. I don't really care that much, but I prefer either the previous scrollable navigation bar or something like the current version ofTemplate:Footer Olympic Champions 4x100 m Men.
