Dimension designation

[edit]

I don't think that most people care about what the dimension designation number, ie. Earth-616 a alternative universe is. It also enlarges the template too much. Some seem made up as there isn't any mention of their designation even in their article. So if we could drop the whole Earth-XXX designator. --Spshu (talk)17:57, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Marvel Anime as universe

[edit]

It will create an entire parallel universe for Marvel,” said Simon Philips, president of Marvel International about Marvel Anime.[1] Marvel has designated it as a universe, although it is more tech. a alternative universe. --Spshu (talk)18:26, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Alternate universes

[edit]

The list of "alternate universes" seems excessive. Do we really need to list every comic-book storyline or series that does not take place on Earth-616? And why do we list certain film franchises such asBlade andX-Men, but not any others?InfiniteNexus (talk)18:24, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What about universes with at least one dedicated ongoing comic set in it, or at least 2 or 3 limited series? That would allow to keep the ones with some world-building, and remove the ones created exclusively for a one-and-done story. Also, let's be clear: there's only one "main" universe. Ultimates, 2099 and others are alternate universes. I would also remove the articles about other media, as they are their own thing; but we may keepMultiverse (Marvel Cinematic Universe). And perhaps a separate group for stories that span several universes, such as Secret Wars and Spider-Verse.Cambalachero (talk)19:36, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
