Text and/or other creative content fromthis version ofTemplate:Efn was copied or moved intoincubator:Template:Wp/nod/efn withthis edit. The former page'shistory now serves toprovide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists.

On 31 January 2023, it was proposed that this page bemoved toTemplate:Explanatory footnote. The result ofthe discussion wasnot moved.

The footnote^[a]{{efn|name=foo|bar=baz more text}} (should be{{efn|name=foo|bar{{=}}baz more text}}) with callout{{efn|name=foo}} produces a line with only the footnote letter and "^" (see below); clicking on the "^" does not jump to the callout. No error message is displayed. This makes it very difficult to correct the error, because there is no indication of which footnote is malformed.

@Manifestation andValenciaThunderbolt: There is no Extension talk: namespace at meta - the pagemeta:Extension:Arrays doesn't exist, and your post has gone into mainspace.
