Hello andwelcome to Wikipedia. When you add content totalk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure tosign your posts (but never when editing articles). There are two ways to do this. Either:
Add fourtildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you.
Template documentation
This template should always besubstituted (i.e., use{{subst:Uw-tilde}}). Any accidental transclusions will be automatically substituted by a bot.
Anybreaking changes to this template, including moving it or nominating it for deletion,must be communicated in advance toTwinkle's users and maintainers atWikipedia talk:Twinkle. The standard installation of Twinkle relies on this template. Thank you.
Usage
{{subst:Uw-tilde}}
{{subst:Uw-tilde|Page name}} references a specific Page name
{{subst:Uw-tilde|Page name|Additional text}} adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"
{{subst:Uw-tilde||Additional text}} or{{subst:Uw-tilde|2=Additional text}} also adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you", but doesn't link a page as specified by the Page name.
Please remember tosubstitute the template using{{subst:Uw-tilde}} rather than{{Uw-tilde}}.
To give greater detail to your message, you may add the Page name and some additional text to the end of the template. If such Page name or additional text includes a URL or anything which includes an equal sign ("="), it may break the parser's function unless you prefix the Page name or the text with a named template parameter. Use1= if the Page name contains an equals sign and use2= if the additional text contains an equals sign (such as a URL).
