Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

Tqbm stands forTalkquoteblockminimalist, which is aminimalist version ofTemplate:Talk quote block, used for quoting others on talk pages. This template is useful for quoting, without placing any emphasis or highlighting on the comment, astqb andtqi do.

Usage

produces:

Though a block element is rendered, this template behaves like an inline element in wikitext. This template can be intuitively used even after colon indentations, and even multiple times in a single line of wikitext.

::some ... quoted ... text Your response here.~~~~

gives the same output as:

::some ... quoted ... text::Your response here.~~~~

By design, this template doesn't support any parameters other than a single unnamed parameter for the quoted text. If you need to mention the editor's name in the quotation, you can do simply by putting that at the end of the message, as in:

which produces:

To create an indented multi-line quote (such as within a a reply on a talk page), use <br/> tags to indicate the line breaks, but donot use manual line breaks. Refer to the following example:

:here is my multi-line quote in a reply to your comment:::~~~~

which produces:

here is my multi-line quote in a reply to your comment:
