Templates in the "Don't edit this line XXX" family are used to extract information from a taxonomy template (i.e. a template whose name is of the form "Template:Taxonomy/taxon"). They are invoked by calling a taxonomy template with|machine code=XXX, since the first line of every taxonomy template begins

They are intended only for use by the automated taxobox system. They are mostly used from withinModule:Autotaxobox in the functiongetTaxonInfoItem.
