Taylor Brennan Washington (born August 16, 1993) is an American former professionalsoccer player who played as adefender.
Washington was born in New York where he played youth soccer for FC Somers and FC Westchester, MLS Next. He played 4 years of soccer forRye Country Day School.[2] He played four years ofcollege soccer, one year atBoston University in 2011, before moving to theGeorge Mason Patriots in 2013. In 2013, the Patriots won the Atlantic 10 Championship and reached the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament, and Washington was named to the all-Atlantic 10 first team.[3]
While at college, Washington also appeared forPremier Development League sideWorcester Hydra in 2012 and captaining theD.C. United U-23 in 2015.[4]
Taylor captained his team his senior year and received George Mason's student athlete of the year award in 2016.[5] Taylor was named to the Atlantic 10 commissioner's honor roll.[6][7]
Following his senior season in 2015, Washington participated in the 2016 MLS Player Combine.[8] On January 14, 2016, Washington was selected 23rd overall in the2016 MLS SuperDraft byPhiladelphia Union.[9]
He made his professional debut withBethlehem Steel FC on March 25, 2016, starting in a 1–0 win overFC Montreal.[10] Washington made one appearance for the Union in afriendly against EnglishPremier League sideCrystal Palace on July 13, 2016.[11]
After the 2016 season, Taylor Washington's contract option with the Philadelphia Union was not renewed.[12]
On December 20, 2016, Washington signed with the USL'sPittsburgh Riverhounds.[13]

On December 7, 2017, Washington was announced as a new signing byNashville SC ahead of their debutUSL season.[14]
Washington, after two years playing for the Nashville SC USL team, was signed to anMLS contract with Nashville on November 22, 2019, along with three other USL players.[15]
Washington announced his retirement on October 15, 2025.[16]
