Tau1 Gruis b, also known asHD 216435 b, is anextrasolar planet approximately 109light-years away in theconstellation ofGrus (theCrane). The planet was discoveredorbiting thestarTau1 Gruis in September 2002. It was calculated that the planetorbits its sun at an average distance of 2.7astronomical units. The planet is over 1.25 times as massive asJupiter.
