DrTariq Aziz (Urdu: طارق عزیز; born 5 February 1938) is aPakistani formerfield hockey player. He won aGold medal at the1968 Summer Olympics inMexico City, and aSilver medal at the1964 Summer Olympics inTokyo.[1] Aziz was born inAmritsar,British India.[2]
Aziz graduated from CVS,Lahore, Pakistan in 1959 and did his masters (M.Sc.) from theUniversity of Agriculture (Faisalabad) in 1966.
He joined the University of Agriculture (Faisalabad), as instructor in 1962 and retired as professor of Veterinary Medicine in 1997.[1]
Aziz announced retirement from international hockey on 31 December 1968.[4]
