Tanawal is atehsil (an administrative subdivision) ofMansehra District, in theKhyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. In December 2022 it was created as the sixth tehsil ofMansehra.^[1]Shergarh Fort is located in Tanawal.^[2] In May 2024 the tehsil was still awaiting government staff after thecaretaker government underAnwaar ul Haq Kakar had withheld action.^[3]
