"Winnipeg Jetswere ..." Is this really correct English ? Although the team name indicatesplural (Winnipeg jet-S), the team do remain as one single unit, or not ? And hence correct English would be "Winnipeg Jets was...". I'm far from sure of this, English isn't my native language. But I raise the questionUaruRamirezi (talk)10:17, 20 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I edited the term "most successful" to "one of the more successful" teams in WHA on a couple criteria. The term itself is incredibly subjective. As well, Jets lead is either non existant or very tenuous at best. Jets were beaten out by other teams in numerous categories including winning %, record in AVCO Cup (finals), times win division, and head to head with better teams who folded prior to WHA ceasing play (eg Houston was 24-18-3 vs Jets all time, won more divisions, and had 4 of 5 seasons with 100+ points)Kav2001c (talk)14:37, 5 June 2025 (UTC)kav2001c[reply]
