Curious initial edit summary

[edit]

This article was created in January 2003 with the edit summary "replacement for former stub". There's information about the "former stub" this article replaced in theJanuary 2003 deletion log, in which an entry indicates that an article called "Pertussis" was created and then deleted because it only contained the text "Also known as Whooping Cough.
