The film Seabiscuit describes War Admiral as being a much larger horse than Seabiscuit (18 hands to 15), yet the text of this article describes WA as small. How big was he in reality?Martyn Smith16:06, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Much smaller. A little over 15 hands.JiggeryPokery (talk)19:27, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The article on War Admiral says he won the 1938 the Stars and Stripes Handicap. The Official Career Chart for Seabiscuit at the end of Lauren Hillenbrand's "Seabiscuit" says War Minstrel won the 1938 Stars and Stripes Handicap.
War Admiral does not appear to have run in that race.
Thus, the article is incorrect, as is the entry for the Stars and Stripes Handicap.

Image:WarAdmiral-BookCover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used underfair use but there is noexplanation or rationale as to why its use inthis Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to theboilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent withfair use.
Please go tothe image description page and edit it to include afair use rationale. Using one of the templates atWikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described oncriteria for speedy deletion. War Admiral is the great-great-great grandsire of Bodacious Tatas, who had a fairly decent career, finishing in the top three, 30 times in 57 races. 11 wins, 8 places, 11 shows.http://www.pedigreequery.com/bodacious+tatasBizzybody (talk) 11:22, 11 December 2010 (UTC)ha i was here WHOOP WHOOP!!!!— Precedingunsigned comment added by152.157.177.232 (talk)15:22, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
