I previously deleted a load of product advertising from this article. A new contributor called Gpraveenrao has added some of this product information back in. The Digital Marketing Manager at Temenos is called Praveen Rao (viaLinked-In). Unless this is an extraordinary and implausible coincidence, this looks like a blatant contravention ofWikipedia:Conflict of interest.RichardVeryard (talk)10:34, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed most of the advertising, and I can now remove some of the templates. The notability of the company remains an issue. If the advertising reappears, I think db-spam would probably be the next step.RichardVeryard (talk)19:54, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm struggling to find anything interesting about this company, apart from a tenuous link to theTemenos Academy. Someone has removed one of the few facts I had found, that Temenos was once nearly bankrupt, which I had sourced from a talk by the chairman and founder.Koukis, George (19 April 2009),Graduation Speech, ESE London, retrieved2010-06-09{{citation}}:Check date values in:|accessdate= (help)CS1 maint: date and year (link) Perhaps the company is now embarrassed by this fact, but I can't see that's a good enough reason to exclude it.RichardVeryard (talk)03:57, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's a large software company which happens to be Swiss, not English or American, so most editors won't have heard of it. WP is crammed with much less notable articles so I recommendNOT deleting it. If you want news on the compny, go to bloomberg.com, search for TEMN and there it is. As for "interesting", banking software is not as interesting to the general public as the antics of minor celebs, but that doesn't mean it isn't notable.Chrismorey (talk)06:02, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thisedit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered.
What I think should be changed: I work at Temenos and I would make a request for additional neutral information to the article, following mentions of Hindenburg's report in the History section. The additional information I would like to add is: "Temenos refuted the allegations in a public response and has formed a Special Committee, supported by independent third parties, to examine the allegations."
Why it should be changed: The current state of the article is imbalanced as it ignores developments following the reports' publication, including Temenos' response which was widely covered in reputable media.

Done , but I left "denied" instead of "refuted." Refuted makes it sound as if the claims have already been determined to be false, when in reality, the review is still ongoing.ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me!16:34, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
