What are the criteria for grouping characters as main or recurring? Characters like Vonreg, Orka and Flix, and the Aces hardly seem like main cast members, as they appear inconsistently, and many of the Aces have had very little dialogue. In my opinion, the characters that are definitely main cast are Kaz, Neeku, Yeager, Tam, and Torra. Borderline are Captain Doza, Pyre, and Tierny (the latter as of late). No other character has appeared in even half of the episodes (excepting droids), and they often go unseen for several episodes in a row. It seems obvious the others are recurring to me, but I am unable to find a source offhand. The hat note ensures that people get to the article they wish to, and Wikipedia articles are not written for fans but to be as broadly accessible as possible, and that includes people not familiar with the franchise. The same concerns (animation style, young target audience) are reflected in the reviews, so if the article was expanded to include reviews from the critics the prerelease comments would be redundant and then maybe you could convince people to delete the section. I should clarify that the "Controversy" referred to here was the negative early reaction to trailers, which was subsequentlymoved to Marketing and unrelated to later Controversy sections which may or not still exist, as there was againconcerns over notability. We generally followWP:SPINOUT, meaning we don't split off sections until the article is so large that it requires it. In the TV WikiProject, however, it's not uncommon for an episode list to be split out once there'sat least one season of episodes and a pickup for a second season, but even that may be too soon for many articles.—TAnthony^Talk04:41, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The wording is easy to misread if you skim read too fast. I had to do a double take on that section too. When the marketing section says "more positively received with subsequent seasons" you must remember Resistance has only had a few episodes, not seasons and the comments about improved reviews are referring to the two other shows, namely The Clone Wars and Rebels.

Twitter is a wretched hive of scum and villiany but considering a well respected publication such as Variety saw fit to discuss the matter that makes it notable and I say keep it. It is not as if we're short of space. In general Wikipedia does give undue weight to Twitter storms in a teacup and at the risk of making an "other stuff exists" argument this is insult is better sourced and more notable than various other cases of stupid people deleting their Twitter accounts. I completely agree that this is notable and adequately sourced information. But in context of the article itself, we're devoting an entire section (admittedly, three sentences) to a minor incident with a minor performer that did not lead to recasting, lawsuits, or ongoing controversy. In retrospect it actually has no connection to the series itself, since Lucasfilm did not make a statement that we know of, and there is no evidence that it impacted production. We don't mentionRoman Polanski's sexual abuse charges or theKevin Spacey allegations in the article of every project in which they are involved, just where it is directly related (and in their BLPs). The current page lists Season 1 as consisting of 21 episodes, starting theThe Recruit as episodes 1 and 2 andThe Triple Dark as episode 3, etc.

Theofficial website on the contrary speaks of 20 episodes, countingThe Recruit as episode 1,The Triple Dark as episode 2, etc. So doTheTVDB andIMDb.

I don't know when it was added, but the article is saying the series ended January 26, 2020, with 19 episodes. The source being used in the series overview section for the season to support the series end date is a press release showing the programming highlights for the month of January. The only issue is nothing there states series finale. The programming highlights simply state the episode on January 26 as an ordinary episode premiere. So we shouldn't be putting an end date on the series nor the season, for that matter, until 12:00 AM on January 27, 2021, unless we can find something definitive from a reliable source declaring January 26 was the season and series finale date. People keep changing this on the templates, the majority of the time without summaries to at least try to explain it.

Starforce13 has provided more promising sourceshere andhere. One or both of these could definitely replace the current source, though, unless I'm missing it, I still don't see anything that confirms January 26 as the season and series finale date. The sources just seem to confirm that the second season is the last, but no specifics other than that.

The other caveat is that the second season's episodes are incorrectly counted. See Amazonhere, which has "The Escape" as a single episode. In other words, only 18 episodes have aired in the second season. The same goes for the first season. Only 20 episodes have aired. Amazonsupports "The Recruit" as being a single episode. The series produced 21 episodes for the first season and 19 episodes for the second season, for a total of 40 production episodes, but four of those episodes were merged for presentation, so two episodes merged for the series premiere and two episodes merged for the reported series finale. So what we actually have are 38 episodes that were broadcast.

• ABC saysBut as the animated series "Star Wars: Resistance" ends its two-season run with an hour-long finalethis Sunday. Since the article was published on January 24, "this Sunday" translates to "January 26."
• SlashFilm posted a series finale recap on Sunday January 26.
• SYFY posted a post-series finale interview the next day, January 27.
• Official Star Wars website subheading saysTHE ACTORS BEHIND KAZUDA XIONO AND TAM RYVORA DISCUSS THE SHOW’S SECOND SEASON AND THE SERIES FINALE, COMING JANUARY 26.

@Starforce13: Great! We can use a combination of those to source not only the season finale, but the series finale as well. I did not notice that line in the ABC source provided when I first looked at it. The ABC source is probably the best and most definitive out of the three due to the "this Sunday" part as recaps and interviews don't always necessarily come right after a finale airs or even the day after. Sometimes they're posted a week or even a month after.
