93 'Til Infinity

[edit]

is a good song, anyone know more about it, or about the instrumentals? -User:pallfy02:37, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wow. As of today, Feb 6, 2007, the article for "The Source Magazine's 100 Best Rap Albums" referenced in this article (93 'til Infinity made that list) is completely gone. I wonder what happened?Sundevilesq14:56, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Definatly not in 95

[edit]

Hiero was formed well before then... no where in that article does it say they formed in 95. They mention the group Hieroglyphics in their 93 era albums and so does Del in 9149erInOregon19:41, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

TheCasual interview cited in theHiero article talks about '95 being the year that they came together to market thier recordings and establish the label (Hieroglyphics Imperium Recordings). Plus, SOM was still signed to Jive in '95...How were they in the Hieros when they were signed toJive from at least '93 to '95 (Hiero releases are exclusive to Hiero Imperium)? If you can find something different (as far as a different found year), source it and post it.Sundevilesq05:56, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It is kind of embarrasing to me to have it say that they formed in 95 since it is wrong. Just because as a crew "Hieroglyphics" wasn't on a record label is missleading. They recorded demos and dropped b-sides as a crew before then. The Mistadobalina 12 came out in thevery early 90s and featured a song called "Burnt" by theentire Hieroglyphics crew. That is proof in the pudding right there. Even saying Hiero Imperium was formed in 95 is a bit of a stretch, but to say that they formed "Hieroglyphics" in 95 would be any long-time fan in an outrage.

Mistadobalina - Elektra 1991 (66490)

Mistadobalina (LP Version) Mistadobalina (Remix) Mistadobalina (Instrumental) Burnt (featuring the Hyrogliphics) <--notice the spelling back then... it was spelled many different ways at the time. Ahonetwo, Ahonetwo (Remix) Ahonetwo, Ahonetwo (Remix Instrumental)

I hear what you're saying, and I remember "Burnt" from back in the day. I changed "formed" to "officially formed" on the SOM article, and the Hiero page says "early '90's" in the Intro. I think "officially formed" is a decent compromise and is not "misleading." What do you think?Sundevilesq12:55, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I still think that is misleading too... Hieroglyphics already had a large fan base before 95, so people reading this article would be like, "WHAT?!?!" That is the thought that comes to my mind even when I see the word "officialy" there. There is cited proof they formed before 95 and we shouldn't let that slide. I think instead of saying officially formed "Hieroglyphics" something better would be "as a collective officially formed Hieroglyphics Imperium LLC" or whatever. The way it is right now is wrong.49erInOregon13:06, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox formatting

[edit]

@Au1001: Reverting a fourth time with an IP address doesn't circumvent theWP:3RR rule and the accusation in the edit summary is a really gross and out of proportion reaction to someone telling you the format of your edits are incorrect. I'm assuming you want the format as 1993-infinity because of their album 93 ’til Infinity but this does not change the fact that the correct format is clearly stated onTemplate:Infobox musical artist. I have reverted it a fourth time because your edit summary included an inappropriate and personal accusation.Suonii180 (talk)11:13, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
