On 1 February 2025, it was proposed that this article bemoved toSolna Municipality. The result ofthe discussion wasnot moved.

The article in Swedish Wikipedia on Frösunda says this is a new part of Solna, and does not mention that it belongs to any of the others. Is really "Solna Municipality" the best name for this article? SinceSolna is a disambiguation page it would seem that "Solna, Sweden" (in similarity toSolna, Poland) would be a more suitable. The article could reasonably cover both the word's meaning as municipality and city/named part of the Stockholm conurbation (in difference to svwiki where there are separatesv:Solna andsv:Solna kommun articles). The standard format for Swedish municipalities on Wikipedia is "X Municipality", as inStockholm Municipality cmp toStockholm. The standard should not be broken by moving one article, and standard should not be changed before consensus has been established for it.

In Sweden there is normally a great difference between thelocalities which are non-administrative built-up areas and themunicipalities which are the political and administrative entities. You can see that when you compare e.g.Kungsbacka andKungsbacka Municipality. The actual town or city is an integral part of the municipality and not an entity of its own. In the case of some Stockholm suburbs it is, however, the other way round. Solna Municipality is a part ofStockholm urban area. --Muniswede (talk)14:45, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
